Description
The Drottningholm Palace is the private residence of the Swedish royal family. Built on the island Lovön on Lake Malaren, it was originally built in the late 16th century, and it served as a regular summer residence of the Swedish royal court for most of the 18th century.
The palace is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It was added to the list in 1991.
